22 March 2010Happy Birthday to us!!
On Monday 22nd March, it will be 10 years since the official opening of Summer Lane Primary School. To celebrate the day, we have invited The Worshipful the Mayor and Mayoress, Councillor John Parkinson and Mrs Linda Parkinson, to visit the school. Some old pupils will attend an assembly including Gemma Wray, who designed our school logo. Fosters Bakery is kindly baking a large cake which the children will share and our Parents and Friends Group will hold a Celebration Family Disco on Friday 26th March. The school has changed and progressed so much in that time that our latest SATS results have placed us in the top 3% of schools nationally. This is a magnificent achievement and one that the whole school community should be justly proud of. With your support, we will endeavour to make the next ten years just as successful. More...
