Honda - School of Dreams Workshop
School of Dreams was a two-day Thinking Skills Workshop for Key Stage 2/3 students and educators. Developed by Honda (UK) and a team of independent education experts, the programme helped young people to understand the importance of pursuing their dreams, and taught skills and strategies to help turn their ambitions into reality.
4 students in Y6 represented out school at this workshop: Aimee Walton, Mollie King, Kamie Fearnley and James Southam. We had a fabulous two days working with other primary schools and our host school - Darton College. It encouraged everyone involved to dream big, think big and succeed by drawing on each person’s strengths and working as a team.
We are hoping in the new academic year to cascade the skills we have learnt to other students and staff at Summer Lane. Furthermore, we are hoping to create a community project to change something in our local society that we hate to be in keeping with one of Honda's many mottos - 'hate something, change something, make something better' (which we hope will be supported by our local Honda dealership).
So get your thinking hats on!
