Extreme weather letter
15th July 2022
Dear Parents and Carers
As you are aware, the Met Office has issued a weather warning for extreme heat on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
To help to keep the children as comfortable and safe as possible we are allowing them to come to school next week dressed in any clothing that helps to keep them cool; shorts, t-shirts, summer dresses.
We will make sure that the children get plenty of water, shade and will keep them as cool as possible. You can help please by making sure your children have sun cream on, bring a sun hat to wear and bring their water bottles to school.
Even though the weather should be cooling down by Wednesday, we will also keep this as a non-uniform day.
So just to clarify, next week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, before we break up for the summer, we are allowing non-uniform to keep the children as cool and comfortable as possible.
Many thanks
R Smith
