Applying for Nursery
Places are available in our nursery from the age of three. Parents are encouraged to visit our nursery prior to completing their application form and our dedicated and friendly nursery staff will make you feel very welcome.
Children are placed on the waiting list in date of birth order and will be offered a place during the term before their admission is to take place. On receipt of this letter, parents are asked to contact the school office who will allocate a morning place.
Nursery 30 hour Places
The nusery are supporting working parents with a 30 hour place. The school and governors have agreed to allocating 16 nursery places for children who can stay 30 hours. There is flexibility where a parent may choose 28 hours to a maximum of 31 free hours.
When you are offered 15 hours you will have the opportunity to be considered for a working parents 30 hour place where there is a vacancy and you meet the governments criteria. School will provide a form to complete and you will need to register with HM Inland Revenue. The code you are allocated you will bring to school for checking. Once your code is checked you will join other parents who also are requesting 30 hours. School in accordance with the LA admissions policy will choose children oldest to youngest until all 16 places are full.
As this is a working parents scheme families will keep their 30 hour place providing they continue with 16 hours of work or more. If circumstances change the 30 hour place has to be reallocated. It is parents responsibility to refresh their code every three months.
We offer 7 hours each day for 4 days. Then a 3 hour session on the fifth session. This provides 31 free hours of childcare. Alternatively parents can choose 28 hours over 4 days.
Purchasing Extra Hours
In accordance with the schools charging policy there is an option to purchase extra hours. This is for children who have 15 hours places and want an extra session for a specific circumstance.
The school governors have set a rate for the extra hours of £5.00 per hour.
Any extra hours can only be made available where a place is vacant at a session. The nursery are unable to go beyond the number of places set by the local authority. Extra hours can only ever be temporary as free places take priority. Nursery will work with families if they feel extra hours would not be the interests of your child.
