Welcome to Class 5!
 

We are Year 3 and Miss Hattersley is our teacher. Mrs Bates also works in our class to support us. Mrs Welburn teaches us on Wednesday afternoons.

Here you will be able to find out what we have been doing recently and look at some of our trips and work.

This term our topic is 'Ancient Egypt.' 

In Literacy, many pieces of our writing will also be linked to Ancient Egypt and the children will be reading 'The Egyptian Cinderella' by Shirley Climo which I am sure they will really enjoy!

PE days are Monday and Thursday.

Spelling tests are on a Monday.

Homework

Every week the children will be given spellings, a reading comprehension task and maths homework. It is also important that the children read on a regular basis at home (red book bags). They will receive a Snoopy reading point each time they read at home if their orange reading record is signed (comments are greatly appreciated!).

* Homework is to be given out on a Friday and is due back on the Wednesday.
