Class 9- Miss Loftus
Autum 1 Newsletter
Welcome to Class 9!
We are Year 6 and Miss Loftus is our teacher. Mrs Walshaw also works in our class to support us.
Here, you can keep up to date with the work and fun things we have been doing recently, plus various website links which can help with our work and that all important SATs revision.
Our P.E. days are Wednesdays and Fridays.
Homework is given out on a Friday and should be returned the following Friday.
Spellings are given on a Wednesday and children are tested the following Wednesday.
Look out for our Class News and Photos here too!
The Y6 children have been busy getting underway with their ARCHBISHOP OF YORK YOUNG LEADERS AWARD. The motto for the award is 'be the change you want to see' and the children are certainly taking this in their stride.
All the children have their own challenge grid to complete various challenges before the end of the year helping out at home in their local community.
Within school the children have done a lot of work already on TEAMWORK and LEADERSHIP.
At the moment they are working in groups and as a whole year group to help support the school community.
We have a team of litter pickers.
A group of children who are going to be helping Key Stage One children with their spellings, times tables and reading.
A group of children who will be planning and delivering a science lesson to class 4 and the whole year group have planned and delivered a PE lesson to class 6 which they loved.
Our next challenge is to get out and about in our local community to see how we can help and support our local residents.
Watch this space for updates and photos. There is also a display that will follow our journey in the Key Stage Two corridor.
In class 9 we like to keep fit and healthy taking part in as many sports events (both in and out of school) as possible.
We have so much fun taking part.
I will post lots of photos of the events we have been doing so keep an eye out....
